The year has flown by. We have assembled 84 meals for Caring for Friends. This was a real team effort for both Sunday and Monday groups. The Sunday group made cookies and valentines. The Monday group assembled the remainder of the meals, which included meatloaf, rice, corn, and a peach cobbler. Yum!
We are especially grateful for the hard work that the Knights of Columbus and Fr. Kelly put into renovations on our parish kitchen. It made our work even easier!
We watched an Alpha video and discussed its message of faith and searching.
Fr. Mike was asked to come to speak with us about our parish’s social justice initiatives. It is great to know that we have so many opportunities to pursue this important Catholic outreach here at Assumption.
We are closing out the year with crafts for our homebound parishioners, and our usual collection of toiletries for Valley Youth House. And now we look forward to Confirmation and our summer break.
We are grateful for this year’s opportunities to practice our Catholic faith through Charity and works of Social Justice. We look forward to returning in September for a new year of exciting activities!
