This past June 3rd, Assumption celebrated the Feast of Corpus Christi with an outdoor procession following the 11am Mass. The event was well attended as 150 parishioners joined the procession and Benedictions to honor Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament. Benediction was offered at two outdoor altars and then a third Benediction was done in church with the traditional closing prayers. A social was held in the parish hall afterwards with many parish organizations manning tables to showcase their efforts.
Father Mike declared his intent to continue having processions every year. Along with 40 Hours celebrations in October, Corpus Christi will be a major celebration for our parish. All parish organizations, families and individuals are encouraged to celebrate these feasts that praise the true presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
Thank you to all who made the celebration possible.
