Our Parish Religious Education Program
As usual, all PREP students are being formed as disciples of Christ. Level 2 students are preparing to celebrate First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. Level 6 students are working on their red folders as they prepare for Confirmation.
The BIG news is the dedicated catechists, who were invited to the Cathedral for a special Mass on January 14th. Assumption parish has several devoted volunteers who were given awards for significant years of service:
St. John Neumann Award for five years of service: Tina Fisher, Christina Gardyan (who teaches both Sunday AND Monday PREP), Jennifer Marchesano and Dawn Merrone.
Our Lady of Guadalupe Award for fifteen years of service: Margie Crooks and Linda Vogel.
St. Martin de Porres Award for twenty years of service: John Nolan.
St. Teresa of Avila Award for FORTY years of service as a catechist: Janet Corbett.
Congratulations and thanks to these award winners, as well as ALL who volunteer in PREP!
