Megan Korimsak’s delicious recipe for Apple Crisp!

I want to share this recipe because it is so easy to make and is perfect for a chilly fall evening. This recipe had been in my family for years and one of my fondest memories is having a warm bowl of apple crisp with my parents after dinner.

  • 8 sliced apples
  • ¾ cups flour
  • 1-cup sugar
  • ¼ tsp. cinnamon
  • 7 tbsp. butter

Instructions: Peel and slice apples. Layer them evenly across a glass-baking dish. Mix flour, sugar, cinnamon and butter to form crumbs. Spread crumbs over the apples. Pour ½ cup water in the corners of the pan to keep apples moist. Bake at 425 degrees for 30 -35 minutes. Serve warm.

Comments: You can use any apples with this recipe; I use red Macintosh because those are the ones my kids like the most. If you use green apples add more sugar to the recipe to balance it out. Serve warm with ice cream or carnation milk.
