Garth and Theresa Poitras

Poitras Anniversary Fall 2016Garth and Theresa Poitras will celebrate their 60th Wedding Anniversary on September 11th, 2016. They were married in the St. Louis Parish Church in Limestone, Maine, their birthplace. They are blessed with three wonderful children, Garth, Kathy and Pam, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who bring them much joy. There have been some ups and downs over the years, but together they got through them. They are enjoying their retirement years and pray for more of the same in years to come.

Happy 60th Anniversary Garth and Theresa!

Tom and Joy Casey

Casey Picture Fall 2016Tom and Joy Casey were married on May 30th, 2015. Their day was beautifully filled with sunshine, smiles and the perfect temperature. The month before their wedding, Joy’s Aunt Josephine Lesniak went to be with God. A few weeks before the wedding, Father Bill followed her and went to Heaven as well. So, they had many angels making sure their wedding day went perfectly!

Throughout their first year (just like their previous five years) their love has seen them through every challenge. They don’t think about what they don’t have, but think about all that lies ahead of them and all they have conquered together, while enjoying the moment they are living in right now. Jesus lives deeply in their hearts and they pray to Mary daily.

Tom and Joy Casey celebrated their 1st wedding anniversary on May 30th, 2016. They were the first couple to be married by our now pastor Father Mike Davis (They LOVE him!) at Assumption BVM Church. They held their reception at the Buck Hotel in Feasterville. They were honored to have Joy’s sons Brandon and Collin Cimino as Tom’s best men. Tom and Joy are active parishioners and legionaries in the Legion of Mary at ABVM. Joy is a PREP teacher and Tom is an assistant in Joys’ class. Joy and Tom are preparing to become extraordinary ministers. Brandon and Collin have been Altar Servers since 5th Grade and they currently also lector and cantor. Their new venture is to become involved with the Youth Group!  Joy adds, “A family that prays together, stays and does all together.  That’s our motto. We are a TEAM!”

Happy 1st Anniversary Tom and Joy!
