Eagle Scout Project… Joseph Oberlander
On August 5th, 2015, Joseph Oberlander completed his Eagle Scout Project for Troop 153 at Assumption BVM Church. It is a 25 foot long coat rack with shelving that will hopefully be used during large church functions in the church hall. Joe created the design for the project, which was approved by Father Bill shortly before his passing and it became a commemoration in his name after its completion. A special thank you goes out to Sister Diane Wolf who over saw the process of this creation from start to finish in the absence of Father Bill. Other scouts who helped with the completion of the project were Brandon Rudolph and Dan Cook. Adult helpers were John Manolakis, Bob Rudolph, Bill Loughnane, and Butch Oberlander. This project along with a commemoration plaque can be seen in the hallway leading from the church to the church hall. Joe officially became an Eagle Scout on September 29th, after successfully completing his board of review.
